Fairy tale wood flowers

The Arum plants are establishing themselves in seeming profusion, though the few ‘flower heads’ which have appeared have already been nipped off by the deer (I presume). As well as the Arums I ended up trying to capture the ‘fairy-tale’ effect of the tiny white Wood Avens, which has erupted into bloom in a nearby pine plantation. Perhaps it looks extra bright in the otherwise gloom beneath the trees but it portrayed such an otherwordly feeling it gave the normally barren pine woods quite a magical atmosphere.

Bristol Gallery Exhibtion

Great news - the photographs in the Munnar Gallery have been chosen to be exhibited in the Bristol Gallery as part of the Festival of Nature, from 5th - 13th June this summer. I’m really pleased to be able to exhibit in that Gallery and even more so as part of the festival.

Below; looking along the moat behind the Bishop’s Palace in Wells; a most illustrious building which is mostly open to the public. A recommended visit.

The Chapel. The shape under the chair is a sleeping cat. It made the whole place very peaceful and calm seeming.
